Several sculptures surround the lake and informative plaques describe some of the local history.
The main feature of the park is Lake Weerlara, a small and attractive lake skirted by reed beds and shady trees, with an abundance of native waterbirds.
Several sculptures surround the lake and informative plaques describe some of the local history. Restful benches are dotted about for enjoying the view.
Lake Weerlara is classified as an Aboriginal heritage site, and former gathering area. Events such as the Lockyer Community Family Fun Day help maintain the importance of the area to the local community.
